Since the spring of 2009 I have been collecting material on currently the best rock climber in the world - Adam Ondra. What leads me to call him the best will be explained before the premier of the film. Now, let me tell you a little about the last 12 months, which has been the most successful period of Adam's life.
Having spent a whole year of filming together, travelling tens of thousands of kilometres into various rock climbing destinations, never ending days and weeks of waiting for the perfect weather conditions, ideal fitness or a bit of luck, I now know that the time of collecting material is at an end. The second stage is ahead, which is editing almost one hundred hours of shots and moments into a film. This stage is even more difficult than the actual filming in the verticals. If everything goes well, it will take about five months. We will keep you up to date on the progress of the film through articles, interviews and video clips.
I managed to shoot a lot of interesting moments of Adam’s life in that year. On the rocks as well as away from them. I got to know him not only as a phenomenal climber, but mainly as a person. For me personally, this is the more interesting part of this story! It is because I do not know many such strong people as this young man Adam Ondra.
I think that in that year I have partially come to understand the art of his climbing success and realised the hard work (Adam's as well as those closest to him) behind it all. This is exactly the reason why top-class editing of the film is a significantly harder part of the film process and at the same time a big challenge. It is because the positive motivating potential of our project is huge. Which is something that’s damn well needed nowadays....
Here, you will find a list of the more interesting climbs and events, to give you a better picture of the actual climbing content of the film. The most outstanding one is connected with a really inspiring story full of twists and amazing conclusions. Fantastic, I couldn't have wished for a better script.

ADAM ONDRA (* 5. 2. 1993 Brno)
Adam Ondra is an exceedingly talented Czech climber, who at the age of 12 placed himself among the world top ten climbers in difficulty and at 16 won the World Cup in this discipline.
He has been climbing since 1999 and he can already boast about climbing grade 8c OS and 9a+ PP and in 2010 even 9b. In 2009, when he was able to compete against adults for the first time, he came second in his very first World Championship in China and overall he won the World Cup in climbing the difficulty discipline. Also, he is a long-term leader of the unofficial world chart of rock climbers on the 8a.nu server. His climbing of hard routes is distinguished by effortlessness and significantly low number of attempts, which he needs for the climb. Apart from climbing he is currently a student at the Grammar School of Matyas Lerch in Brno and he is also a keen snowboarder. He speaks fluent English and German.

anonymous Of course, Franz, I totally agree and thank you for your kind opinion. Just sometimes the pressure (made inside my head by me, not you here ) does not allow me anything than just focus only on solvingthe problems, which I would never expect to happen... Anyway, I learned a lot and hope that our next project will be much more "user friendly" ) I try to write a bit more later, respect to you, now I have o time! Petr
Yes!Thank you so much Petr! I think the long time was absolutely justified, that was never my argument, my brother works in video production too and I know how much work there is to do. If I may, my message would be to manage the expectations of your audience better, no matter how long the time will be. Honestly, it would have cost you two minutes to just announce a new, extremely safe release date and then surprise us all with na earlier release.
Hope you can appreciate my (and other people's standpoint), I know it's a partial critique but I hope I have formulated it in civilised manner.

But sure, I must admitthat they are partly very right, and I should have make it much faster. I really wanted, this project was killing me sooooo long But now I want to say, that I did alone work which is normally done by many people, everything for free... I spent all my personal money on it, which I never get back by selling this film, our great sponsors paid "just" the raw costs of the big project, which was amazing, but for my almost 3 year work I did not get anything so far. Just the BIG experience!!! And I knew it from the start, even if I had expected it to last much shorter time. Why do I write it? So even if I really feel shame, that I was not faster, despite doing all I could (and many things in my personal life were destroyed due to this film, because I simply did not have time for anything or anybody else, for a too long time, damn...), I take this negative posts not personal, these people have their own stories and I hope that they will find their peace, balance and happiness as soon as possible
) I want to write something about the whole process soon, but first I make last video (excerpts from the movie) and finally take some longer sleep...
Big "thank you" to everybody who was thinking positive, even if I did not find time to read it, I was told about that from my friends while climbing (honestly the only relax and "rescue brake" last year).
So I hope you will like it a bit. Now, I see how non-experienced we were at the beginning in 2009, and how differently I would work now... Anyway, this case is closed and the new amazing stories are slowly about to come... Smaller, but much more wild and faster! Key words of the newest project- Scandinavia, Adam Ondra, wild Nature, Freedom...

I'm sure that bernartwood is going to deliver a great movie, and please us all (even the impatients, and the angry ones!). What is the problem if it takes another couple of weeks? Yet, it would be great to have a new release date announced (so that I don't check the site every day). As somebody else said, pick a pessimistic date, and then surprise us all by releasing the movie ahead!
S Deluxe, I've kept my posts to very civilised language and content. I just wish we were given a new release date and that this new one was adhered to. Like somebody intelligently pointed out, Petr is not doing himself a favour by delaying the movie further WITHOUT giving a second release date.It does not add to his credibility and professionalism.
If he thinks it could be a matter of a few weeks, he could just say it's gonna be 2 or 3 months to be safe and then release it earlier to surprise us all...
So sorry to hear that. I am really excited to see the film. Your other movies are quite good. And Adams climbing i truly extraordinary. It will be awesome when the film is finally online. Don't listen to all the impatient crap.
